Crystal Spruill Carter is the Communications Specialist in Texas A&M University’s Office for Diversity. Crystal’s responsibilities include leadership and creativity in writing, designing, managing, and executing the Office for Diversity communications and website. Crystal coordinates the Office for Diversity's social media, branding of promotional materials, presentations, and special events. In addition to her expertise in marketing and communications, she brings experience working collaboratively with the community to her work in the Office for Diversity. Crystal is the former director of the Brazos Valley African American Museum and a member of the 2019-2020 class of Leadership College Station ISD. She volunteers with Brazos Valley 4-H and Lincoln Recreation Center Boys and Girls Club where she received the Keeping the Dream Alive award for outstanding public service and contribution to youth development. Finally, Crystal is a member of the Brazos Valley Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she chairs the annual MLK Essay and Art Contest.
