Nikki Cavender began working at Texas A&M University in 2005. She joined the Office of the Vice President and Associate Provost for Diversity in July of 2009. Nikki has previous administrative assistant experience working for the Executive Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs in the College of Education, and the Director of Faculty Administration in the Office of the Dean of Faculties and Associate Provost.

Nikki earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University in English. She interned two semesters at the Texas Review Press, and edited several SHSU-published novels and journals.
