Best Practices & Diverse Ideas





We know you are doing great things to help move our University diversity agenda forward in innovative ways. We would like for you to tell us about it so we can share it with the campus and community. We want to capture the most forward looking, cutting-edge campus practices and programs that embody new directions for advancing diversity and institutional change.

We invite you to submit:
Successful programs you have implemented that support any of the six core action areas of our University Diversity Plan:

  1. Improve the Campus Climate for all Faculty, Administrators, Staff, and Students
  2. Expand and Improve Mentoring and Retention Programs for Faculty, Administrators, Staff, and Students
  3. Expand Education on Obstacles and Advantages to Achieving and Valuing Diversity
  4. Develop School and Community Partnerships
  5. Recruit More Students from underrepresented groups
  6. Recruit More Faculty, Administrators and Staff from underrepresented groups

As well as:

  • Recommendations of websites, books, journal articles, movies that support teaching and learning about diversity;
  • Success stories as well as stories about what you have tried that was not successful. We are interested in lessons learned so we can all gain from your efforts;
  • And, any other great idea you have which support diversity.

Submission Instructions
Please forward your files in Word or PDF format to diversity@tamu.edu.
Be advised that all submissions may be edited for clarity and length.

Be sure to include the following information:

    Name
    Status (faculty, staff, student)
    Name of Unit or Organization, if any
    Phone number
    E-mail address
We will communicate with you regarding your submission within one week.
