Dr. Tito Guerrero, III, joined Texas A&M University in September 2006 as the Vice President and Associate Provost for Diversity. From 2001-2006, he served as the President of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Dr. Guerrero also served as President of the University of Southern Colorado from 1997-2001 and as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi from 1991-1997. While at TAMU- Corpus Christi, he also served as Vice President for Student Affairs and Professor of Education (1989-1991), Kellogg National Leadership Fellow (1987-1990), and Dean of Students (1985-89). He currently serves on the Board of Visitors for Air University, United States Air Force. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member for The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education and SAM Advanced Management Journal.

Dr. Guerrero obtained his Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Biology from Texas A&M University (1970), his Masters of Education from the University of North Texas (1971), his C.A.S. from Harvard University (1974) and his Doctorate in Education, also from Harvard University (1977). He has served as a Director for the American Council on Education, American Association of State Colleges & Universities, the Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities, and American Humanics, Inc
