Dr. Gabriela Zapata

PRODUCING OUTSTANDING SCHOLARSHIP

Dr. Gabriela C. Zapata is a former Associate Professor in the Department of Hispanic Studies at Texas A&M University and ADVANCE Administrative Fellow in the Office for Diversity. 

Dr. Zapata is the author of the newly published book, Learning by Design and Second Language Teaching: Theory, Research, and Practice. Throughout the volume, Dr. Zapata has emphasized the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in second language education, highlighting the need for inclusive practices and critical approaches to teaching. Through the funding received from the Office for Diversity, three chapters have a Creative Commons License. Learn more about this book through the publisher Routledge.
